Scottish Aire - A rhythmically interesting ground base provides the foundation for this piece. A shift in modality in the second section provides a harmonic contrast.

Shalom Chaverim - This Israeli round is a great teaching tool as well as a fun and meaningful music experience. It teaches following three melodic lines at once (in imitation), playing in a minor key, and good counting skills. The 50 measures are in open, airy structure, and may be played equally effective on bells or chimes.

Shenandoah - Handchimes or handbells will have equal success with this arrangement of the American folk song. The only technique called for is the echo on bells and the vibrato on handchimes (instructions for this technique are included). A flowing tempo is given and the texture is chordal. The melody appears in both upper and lower registers, giving all ringers an opportunity to play both melody and accompaniment.

Silent Night - Tenderness and delicate intimacies are the hallmark of this arrangement. LV passages create pools of sound into which the "fragile" malletted notes drop and ripple!

Spacious Firmament, The - "The Heavens are telling the Glory of God!" is a powerful text from Franz Joseph Haydn's CREATION. Only 52 measures in length, and playable by 2, 3, 4, or 5 octaves this arrangement would make a nice opener for a festival of mass choirs, a concert, or any joyful moment of worship. Fully scored to keep all ringers involved.
